About this course

Construct, read and translate fairly complex sentences in all the moods of the present system. You will learn to analyse and translate Sanskrit shlokas from the epics and the Bhagavad Gita.

Thorough revision of what was learned in Level 1 – especially the Devanagari script, sandhi, the present, imperfect and future tense, nominal declensions, verb conjugations in the present system.

The Text book for Sanskrit Level 2 is Devavanipraveshika by Robert Goldman (ISBN 9788120833753). You can enrol for module 2, in which you will expand your vocabulary dramatically, learn complex grammatical forms, the past and future tense, the passive voice, and be able to read prose passages appropriate to this level.
