Course programme
Entry Requirements
You will need to have GCSE English and maths at grade C or above. You will also need to have suitable life experience outside of formal education and a strong desire to pursue a science based career. Applicants need to be 19 years old or over.
Delivery and Assessment
This course is assessed by a combination of coursework and examinations. Coursework may involve essays, presentations, reports, discussions and a portfolio of evidence.
Progression
Students progress onto science related degrees and university courses requiring a high science content. Past students have progressed onto zoology, marine biology and biomedical science amongst others.
