This is a part-time course with three hours a week lesson time for daytime classes and two hours in the evening. It is an essential qualification for many level 3 and university courses including teacher training and is valued by most employers.

Course programme
You will learn about physics, chemistry and biology in well-equipped laboratories and complete exams for units 1,2 and 3 in the summer..
In biology you will learn about diet and exercise, defence against disease, the nervous system and hormones, adaptions and recycling, variation, reproduction and evolution.
In chemistry you will study atoms, the periodic table, chemical reactions, metals and their uses, alloys, crude oil and fuels, emulsions and the composition of the earth's crust.
Physics will look at energy types and transfer, energy efficiency, generating electricity, waves, reflection and sound. Students will develop the skills they need to progress including teamwork, time-keeping, confidence and positive decision making. Classes are taught in modern well equipped laboratories at Park Lane Campus and Keighley College You can go on to study GCSE Additional Science.
