For students with some creative and screen printing experience, this course enables you to bring your own personal screen printing project into the studio. Screen prints need not always be made in the format of an edition on paper but may become an exciting set of prints that all differ from each other.

About this course

• Negotiate your personal learning outcomes with the tutor
• Plan your schedule of work in order to complete your personal outcomes
• Produce a set of unique screen prints or a small edition.
• Gain a broader understanding of the range of possible techniques related to screen printing
• Enhance your existing screenprinting skills.

Basic materials are supplied, inks, papers etc. If you require any specialist materials your tutor can advise you about where to purchase them.

Course programme

1. You and your tutor will be able to devise an individual study plan for your personal project.
2. You will be guided through technical screen printing skills as you need them.
3. Research methods and experimental processes will be introduced as you need them.

You will be given ‘one to one’ tuition, take part in group discussion and be supported in the studio with guidance and advice from the tutor. You will be helped with setting appropriate research targets outside of class.

Additional information

You may wish to develop your printmaking practice in any of the other specialisms such as Etching or Lithography or continue to study further Screenprinting: all levels courses to develop your practice.
