2. Course description This flexible course is designed for those who have an interest both in art and in practical skills with the idea of combining the two. You will have the chance to work from a life model (unclothed) and learn how to make armatures and model in either clay or another material of your choice. Almost all aspects of Sculpture can be confronted and all materials used. The tutor will be on hand to help you realise your idea, sketch or image into 3D reality; you will receive one to one support as well as be involved with group discussions on work achieved. The overall aim is to build learners' confidence and extend the learners' perception of 3D and how to make concrete their ideas.
