The Seated Acupressure Massage Training School was established in June 1998 by Davina Thomson and Patricia Abercromby. We are both professional therapists and qualified adult education teachers with many years of experience, both in business and marketing, corporate treatments and in private practice. Our combined skill base covers: Seated Acupressure Therapy, Sports Therapy and Sports Massage, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Aromatherapy, Remedial Massage, Equine Therapies and teacher of Remedial Stretching and Yoga.We have a flexible and holistic approach to our training and with the additional techniques that are learned during the course, the end result is a therapy that can be adapted to suit the individual needs of the client. Our courses have achieved the status of accreditation with City & Guilds, one of the top awarding bodies in the UK - this means that if you wish to work towards a degree in Complementary Therapies, this will represent part of your degree. ...

Description

Seated Acupressure Therapy is the 'must have' skill for any professional massage practitioner wanting to expand their private practice, or enter into the wider business world.Acupressure is an ancient treatment technique with its origins in the Orient that has been given a 21st Century makeover, tailoring the treatment for today's fast-paced, stress-driven work-place environment. The treatment is received through clothes on a specially designed massage chair. The chairs are unbelievably comfortable, the treatment is fast, dynamic and it gets results. Almost without exception, clients report feeling totally relaxed yet wide awake, alert and ready to get back to work.No more aching backs for the therapist either, as the stance used throughout the sequence protects and strengthens the back and legs, and opens the energy channels.
