The Level 2 Door Supervisor course is an accredited qualification which has been developed to meet the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA). It is based on the relevant SIA Specifications for Learning and Qualifications and provides the necessary skills and knowledge for those who wish to apply for an SIA licence and work as a Door Supervisor.


We recommend all our customers to complete the Door Supervisor course over the Security Guarding course, as there is far more demand for Door Supervisors in the UK.

About this course

Develop knowledge related to the Private Security industry, including, the purpose of the industry, the functions of the regulator, governing legislation and the acceptable work practices, procedures and standard.

Develop skills in conflict management and their abilities in managing and resolving conflict in the context of the role of a Door Supervisor.

Learn about the role, duties and responsibilities of a Door supervisor. This covers areas such as, searching procedures, physical protection systems, physical intervention skills, reporting and record keeping, as well as legislation relevant to a Door Supervisor.

Ideal for anyone who wishes to work in the private security industry in the United Kingdom. With the Door Supervisor licence individuals can work in any premises that offer entertainment or alcohol, a few examples are: hotels, nightclubs cinemas, stadiums, pubs etc.

The learner should have at least Level 1 Literacy & Numeracy.

Successful candidates will receive a Level 2 Award in Door Supervision (QCF) certificate.

Course programme

Description

The SIA Door Supervision course runs over 4 days and is divided into 4 units:

  1. Working within the Private Security Industry
  2. Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry
  3. Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry
  4. Physical Intervention Skills for the Private Security Industry

The course is assessed by (3)multiple choice exams and a practical assessment.

All the examinations are conducted through multiple choice questions. Once you finish the test. WE then send it to the awarding body to mark it. Once they mark the exam and then they will issue the results. Then you should be able to apply for your SIA license.
