Introduction
Exploring the ‘Therapeutic Use of Self’. This course is designed for people working in a care/support setting for adults who have a learning disability with the aim of introducing a psychodynamic way of thinking about work in a care/support setting.
The course is based on the belief that the relationship between the carer and the person is a central instrument for a successful therapeutic outcome.

- Therapeutic use of empathy
- You and your voices - an interactive approach to self-awareness surrounding mental health needs
- Finding your own creativity within a therapeutic environment
