SH Health and Safety (North East) Ltd is a growing business, offering Fire Training and Fire Prevention Consultancy to a wide variety of clients throughout the UK. We deliver comprehensive fire training courses to business, which are designed to meet the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. We can also provide courses which are tailor made to suit the training needs of your business.
Who must comply? . . . All employers in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. It is a criminal offence not to comply with fire safety legislation. We at SH Health & Safety (North East) Ltd can help you!
All training courses are carried out by our instructors who are Home Office trained Fire Fighters and experienced within the UK Fire Service.
FIRE
Our instructors also hold Health & Safety qualifications with both IOSH and NEBOSH.

NOISE
From April 2006, noise action levels were significantly reduced. Therefore, areas in which hearing protection was not previously required, may need to be designated as hearing protection zones.
In addition, new noise "limits" have been introduced relating to the maximum noise dose to which employees may be exposed after taking into account the effect of hearing protection. Therefore, the suitability of hearing protection needs to be assessed.
A noise survey will identify areas in which hearing protection must be made compulsory and those in which it may remain voluntary. Such a survey is a legal requirement if employees are likely to be exposed to >80dB(A).
Our consultants have been certified as a Competent Person for Workplace Noise Assessments by the Institute of Acoustics.
