This day offers a brief historical, anthropological overview of traditional and contemporary shamanism, exploring how these ancient cross-cultural healing methods can be used today. This course is facilitated by an experienced integrative counsellor and shamanic practitioner who teaches shamanic journeying and healing.

- Describe how the practice of shamanism could be used in the context of professional health practice, psychology, counselling and personal development.

The course is a balance of presented material and experiential learning, including tutor talk with discussion, questions and answers and clinical case material. Hand-outs and visual material will be used as well as experiential exercises. There will be an opportunity to participate in a shamanic journey (optional). You will be supported to continue finding out more about the subject if you feel motivated to do so.
