Overview
Lean Sigma is a technique to deliver
significant improvements in your business processes leading to increases in
profitability, customer satisfaction and employee morale. Lean Sigma combines
lean thinking, with its roots in “Waste” reduction and “Flow improvement”
delivering products at the demand of the customer. With Six Sigma, developed by
Motorola to reduce variation in processes making them predictable and
consistent and constantly reducing defects working beyond 3.4 defects per
million.

The results

On completion of your black belt training you will be able to:
Deliver a business improvement project saving your business in excess of £100,000 P.A.

• Understand
  and implement the D.M.A.I.C. improvement methodology (Define, Measure, Analyse,
  Improve, Control).
• Utilise Lean tools that identify and eliminate
  waste in processes within your business, enabling them to flow at the pace of
  the customer.
• Reduce variation in these processes allowing
  them to produce reliable constantly improving outputs.
• Establish and lead a robust continuous
  improvement process engaging the whole organisation.

For the individual:

Will receive a Lean Business Solutions master black belt approved
certificate.

The process

To gain certification the individual will:

Complete 4 weeks of training spread over 3 months

• Lead a business improvement project
  delivering in excess of £100,000 savings
  • 
    Mentor and
    train the project team
  • 
    Successfully
    complete a 4 hour examination
