Course programme

Students have the opportunity to take Edexcel ESOL qualifications from E1 to Level 2 in all modes. Science and Maths are offered at GCSE and Functional Skills Entry Level. ICT is also offered at Functional Skills Entry Level and at Level 1 or 2 if appropriate. Students are supported in obtaining work experience in an area relevant to their intended progression and the programme includes work related activities. English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) students are supported and encouraged to undertake voluntary work or part-time work which are excellent means of improving EnglishSubjects are taught using teacher input and other methods of interaction including group work, pair work as well as individual research. Learners will be offered half termly reviews. Students are expected to spend 18-20 hours per week in College. Formal assessment is by examination for all subjects but exam preparation is extensive.
