Description

Skills for Security, a not-for-profit sector skills body, was created by employers to work with and on behalf of the security industry to improve standards of professionalism and access to security training and security qualifications for everyone working in the private security sector.The skills required to work in this complex sector range from customer service to conflict management and from fraud investigation to CCTV installation, and it encompasses a variety of occupations. Skills for Security provides National Occupational Standards (NOS), apprenticeships, security training programmes, training resources, examinations processing, research, advice and information, and communication channels to government and regulatory bodies. We have a UK-wide remit and communicate with our industry in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland through employer consultation groups, newsletters, conferences and events, e-bulletins, one-to-one meetings and the website.
