Smart Platform Rental, the UK’s largest provider of light truck mount self drive rental platforms, concludes the year with its head office becoming IPAF’s newest Training Centre. ’We’ve taken this step now since our recent move to larger state of the art Hemel Hempstead facility and the influx of new customers using us made it the perfect time to offer this.’ stated Guy Willett, Commercial Director. ‘Importantly, it will mean that we’ll also be able to now offer IPAF training directly at our Midlands branch and on client’s sites.’ In addition, Smart has expanded the training services it provides with the inclusion of both IPAF’s scissor lift and self propelled boom courses (Categories 3a and 3b). ‘After extensive research into our customer’s training needs we saw the opportunity to offer a one stop training service to clients.'

Truck mounted cherry pickers are also what we rent to our customers but we offer a wide spectrum of IPAF related courses including self propelled booms and scissors lifts and also harness inspection courses.

We are proud to now announce that after being a long standing IPAF Member, we are now also an IPAF accredited Training Centre. This means that we now can offer courses direct and provide not only truck mounted (IPAF Category 1b) training but also self- propelled boom (IPAF Category 3b) and scissor lifts (IPAF Category 3a).
