2. Course description This is a varied and interesting course which pulls together different subjects which will contribute to your overall understanding of the role of social work in our society. You'll study psychology and sociology as well as English law, including the Mental Health Act as well as international conventions such as the Human Rights Act. You'll learn how these laws and the social policy set out by Government impacts on people's lives on a day-to-day basis. There will be plenty of opportunities for discussion with your fellow students and for you to research topics which are of particular interest to you.
