The sociologist is the one who carries out a research activity to improve and promote the knowledge of different and multiple social phenomena. Among the tasks of the sociologist is that of setting up sociological surveys, collecting data and conducting interviews and submitting reference sample questionnaires; moreover it also deals with analyzing, organizing and relating data and information through statistical methods and producing reports or scientific articles using tables and graphs to better illustrate the results of their research. The sociologist also carries out research and can teach sociology in schools and universities.
