"Sound recording has brought to composers almost endless possibilities of expression, and opened up for them the mysterious world of sound." - Edgard Varèse, Composer.Whether you want to work in music production, or create sound for TV, games or film, it's essential to gain an understanding of the building blocks of sound, and how they can be controlled for creative purposes. On this degree, you'll be introduced to a wide range of sound/music practices to inspire and inform your own creative development. We filmed some of these practices when AJ from KISS FM came to see us. At Greenwich you'll have access to some of the sound latest technologies, which you'll use constructively, recording, transforming and synthesizing in a way that expands your horizons and opens you up to new sonic possibilities. With emphasis on creative practice and critical thinking, the programme will expand your skills in recording, understanding, editing, critiquing, generating and composing sound. Applicants from a UK educational background:112 UCAS points, which should include at least 104 points from A2 A-levels.
