The scheme is designed to assist CONTRACTORS to: Improve health, safety and environmental awareness and minimise accidents and ‘near misses' because as a Contractor you are now part of the everyday operational life of most quarries and in most other extractive industries and as such you are at risk of being involved in an accident. Increase productivity and efficiency as well as saving time and expense by not having to sit through repetitive health and safety induction programmes which is time to you and therefore costs you money.
