The aim of these qualifications is to recognise the skills and competences of candidates in the workplace. The qualifications provide individuals with an opportunity to demonstrate the skills and knowledge needed for a career in business and administration. The units encompass a broad range of competencies from the administration sector. Suitable for: Modern Apprenticeships are aimed at those aged 16 or above and capable of achieving a vocational qualification (VQ) at Level Two or above. The programme can be used to train existing employees or new employees. Any company in Scotland - whatever its size - can take part in the programme. Potential trainees need to get a job before they can take part in the programme. People without a job, however, can contact a local training company such as ourselves AD Services (Scotland) Ltd.

We can offer fully funded qualification leading to full modern apprentice within the Hamilton and Glasgow areas where the candidate or company have a post code beginning with ML or G. Fully Funded candidates have all assessment, registration and college fees included in the funding supplied by the Local Enterprise Company

The NVQs are work-oriented qualifications and are suitable for those who undertake
administration related activities. They are open to candidates of either gender and there are no
entry barriers on grounds of race, creed or previous academic attainment or learning.

How are these SVQs assessed?
Like all SVQs, these qualifications are competence-based. This means that they are linked to a person’s ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected with their work.
To gain an SVQ, a candidate must achieve the level of competence described in the SVQ units of competence.
Intended for individuals whose role involves carrying out administrative duties with a considerable amount of responsibility and autonomy. The individual will be contributing to the development and implementation of administrative services within the organisation, and have a substantial amount of administrative experience. Their administrative duties will include: contributing to coordinating administrative services, using IT to research, process and present information, developing effective services for customers, and dealing with financial information.
This qualification is very flexible in its structure enabling the organisation and individual to choose the optional units which best suit their work situation and job role.
Like all SVQs this qualification is competence based. This means that it is linked to the candidate's ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected with their work. Candidates plan a programme of development and assessment with their assessor and compile a portfolio of evidence to prove that they are competent and knowledgeable in their work role.
