Generally people commute via bikes around and people also have cars, if you get tired of campus life, you can relax with your friends if someone has a car it would be much easier.

Good place and you got to learn a lot, try to involve in good activities which can help you be a part of this place and make good connections. Well its totally depends on your lifestyle what matters and how you wish to take it further. Overall a nice place.

Stanford comes as expensive and competitive, prepare to pay a few hundred bucks for permits but with only a few places as parking spots. It was a good experience overall.

Palo Alto is beautiful place and stayed on campus , people were amazing and stanford provides so much entertainment of its own and they deliver. I had a great time.
