Storytelling as one of the foundations of theatre, in all cultures. Exploring ways of telling stories with language, body and rhythm, solo and in groups. Telling brief stories has also become a strong component within the world of Business, so we shall examine the way ‘story’ can be used in ‘branding’; covering topics which include talks, presentations, lectures, and more informal settings.

* Telling traditional, as well as contemporary stories.
* Making up your own stories for use in Business settings.

In group exercises with some solo attempts to improvise, read, and perform stories. A useful resource to have read would be Rock Your Presentation by Nigel Barlow. As part of the course content, your tutor may record your image for initial and ongoing assessment purposes. You are entitled to decline to participate in the recording of your image.
