This is an opportunity to practice the skills you’ve acquired on your Photography courses or to develop your own personal projects in a studio environment. You will have access to the equipment and facilities of the Photography studio for use within the studio. You will be expected to work independently as this is not a taught session, but you will be able to access online tutorials. A technician will be available to issue equipment and supervise the room. The studio has professional photographic equipment and Apple Mac computers and printers with the latest software.

This is not a taught course You will be able to use the facilities of the photography studio to progress in your individual work whether that’s practicing photographic techniques or using software applications.

This is not a taught course By using the facilities in the Photography studio you will be able to progress with individual photography projects and gain confidence and competence in using photography equipment, software applications and the techniques of your specialist area.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?As you will be working independently you are expected to be able to demonstrate safe and correct use of the equipment in the Photography Studio. You will need an understanding of Apple Mac computers and printers if you would like to use the computer or printing equipment.
You should be able to follow simple written and verbal instructions, hand-outs and health and safety information. You should be able to use numbers and be able to do simple measurements and calculations.
You will be expected to work independently during Studio time sessions. These sessions are not taught, they are opportunities for you to practice your skills or develop your projects. You may take advantage of hand outs from your course or online help.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?If you wish to use our Epson archival inkjet printers, we will charge you as following: Epson archival matt: 50p each for A4, £1 each for A3. This needs to paid in cash to the studio technician. You should also bring your images on a memory stick.
