Who is this course for?

This course is for students who are 16 and over and want to: to improve all English language skills, to develop confidence in your ability to communicate with native and non-native speakers of English, to develop language learning techniques and strategies, to prepare you for Cambridge ESOL exams, BEC (Business English Certificate) and IELTS.

What qualifications or experience do I need ?

The courses are available for learners from beginner to advanced level. You will be tested at enrolment and placed in classes suitable for your level of English.

What will I study ?

General English/Cambridge Exam Classes 5hrs per week Day/Eve This is a general English course covering all aspects of language learning: grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. It prepares you for Cambridge ESOL examinations. From beginners to advanced level (CEF A2 - C2) The four language skills are developed through a range of activities: Reading, Writing, Speaking & Listening IELTS Preparation 5 hrs per week Day/Eve This is an academic English course to prepare you for university. You will work towards the IELTS exam and the PTE Academic for University entrance. From intermediate to advanced level. (CEF B1 - C2 Business English 3hrs per week This is a course focusing on all major forms of business communication. It also prepares you for the Cambridge BEC exam. From intermediate to advanced level. (CEF B1 - C2) Skills Class 2 hrs per week: Communication, Language Awareness, Cultural and Personal Development, Reading & Writin

How will I be assessed ?

Weekly assignments and works sheets are set for all students. The Cambridge exams take place in December, March and June and mock exams are set to assess your progress and suitability.

What qualifications could I achieve ?

Cambridge ESOL exams, BEC (Business English Certificate) and IELTS
