About this module
This is the core (40 credit) module of the PG Certificate Palliative Care. This module will consider each of the elements that ensure people living with the impact of being identified as receiving palliative support or being told that they are nearing the end of their life, feel supported. For example, many patients state that they experience extensive support whilst receiving active treatment, however in making the transition to a new way of life they feel less supported. Patients require assistance in adjusting to and coping with new feelings, new problems and new ways of looking at the world. A service evaluation will be undertaken to explore how professionals working in palliative care environments are able to enhance care provision.
