Syringe Driver

By the end of the course all participants should be able to:

> Explain the reason for selecting the use of a syringe driver to administer patient medication;

> Demonstrate awareness of the risk management issues and the limitations of the Graseby MS16A and MS26 devices;

> Set up, prime and check the syringe driver ready for use;

> Demonstrate the safe administration of drugs via syringe driver devices within the scope of your own health care setting and all relevant policy guidelines.
