This five day course begins by looking at how talent and talent management is defined and put into practice in different contexts. It considers how effective organisations need to develop a strategic approach to attracting and retaining of staff and face stiff competition at regional, national and international levels. In addition, effective managers need to analyse key employment markets and gain an understanding of their dynamics in order to compete more effectively, both now and in the future. To do this, we will look at the changing roles for HR professionals,  the identification and evaluation of talent, reputational management – becoming an employer of choice (including managing diversity, work-life balance and innovative approaches to job design), and managing recruitment, retention and turnover.
