Aims
- To understand the role of an instructor and their responsibilities
- To train the instructor to a level of competence
- To enable him/her to deliver the Instant Training Tallescope Training Course
- To enable the instructor to assess the competence of his trainees in the safe use of Tallescopes
All theory, covering aspects of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Riddor 95, the six pack (manual handling, PPE, Work Equipment, welfare, Fire precautions when dealing with tallescopes, Electricity.
- Instructional Techniques
- Inspection of equipment
- Safe systems of work
- Handrails, toeboards and stabilisers
- Correct procedures - hazards
- Inspections - site checks
- Practical section - erecting and dismantling of equipment
- Practical application by students of the using of tallescopes and practice in presenting the tallescopes between the students.
- Live presentation of aspects of the health and safety awareness section by each of the students.
- A demonstration by the Course Instructor of how to present and instruct students on the various scaffolds.
