Our part time courses are designed for those who teach or train in post compulsory education or training. A range of opportunities are available for beginners and for experienced trainers or graduates aiming for fully qualified status.

Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) - City & Guilds 7304

This course is for teachers and trainers who work in an associate role and do not necessarily have full responsibility for delivery of a full course. A minimum of 30 hours teaching practice is required.

Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DLLS) University of Plymouth Cert Ed/PGCE

This course is for teachers and trainers in a full teaching role in workplace, adult or post compulsory education and training. The full teaching role means those with responsibility for managing a full course or the curriculum for an organisation.

Two years part time plus study time and 200 hours teaching practice

Fees are normally met by an LEA grant though there is a small additional cost to cover materials

Introduction to Trainer Skills - City & Guilds 7300

This programme offers the essentials of a systematic approach to training for those who train others within organisations; this includes how to plan sessions, how to deliver motivational training and how to evaluate it.

Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) City & Guilds 7303

This course is designed for anyone planning to begin teaching or training in workplace, adult or post compulsory education. No teaching practice is required.
