About this course
It is recommended that you have a teaching qualification such as a Cert Ed, DTLLS or PGCE and you must have level 2 or equivalent in English and maths as well as demonstrate you have maths skills working at level 3. As this is a practice-based programme, you will need a minimum of 50 relevant teaching practice hours.

Course programme
Year 1
There are three units in total which are taught using a blended learning approach. This means you will attend six full-day workshops at staggered points throughout the year and the rest will be through the College virtual learning environment (Moodle). The units will look at developing your subject knowledge and how to develop the mathematics knowledge and skills of your learners. The units are:
