Team Leaders Promoting Equity and Diversity

Course aims

Provides practical skills in the promotion and development of equity and diversity in teams.
The training focuses on leadership skills and qualities of the team leaders.
Opportunity for team leaders to explore, discuss and problem solve with peers concerns about harassment and bullying at work.

Course objectives
■ Working effectively with diverse teams
■ Communicating with respect
■ Managing diffi cult situations
■ Facilitative leadership.

Target groups
All Trust Team Leaders with leadership and management responsibilities in their current role.
Training methods employed on the course
Theoretical input, role play, pair and group work and discussion.

Additional Information
It is an experiential training day with group work to facilitate self-awareness and feedback from colleagues. Participants have pre-reading and are encouraged to complete the NHS Core
Learning unit 'Respect for People' e-Learning before attending the training
