Course programme

Year 1

Over the two years you will cover aspects of stage management, lighting, video projections and sound equipment, and you will learn the importance of how the these areas work together. You will also look at production arts planning; the history of performance; health and safety; and working for yourself in the industry.
The structure of the course allows you to specialise in the areas which interest you the most, such as stage lighting, stage management, scenery construction/set design or live sound.

Year 2

Year two follows on from the content in year one, but more in depth, and it introduces new skills such as video projection mapping and lighting design.
