I have been teaching Teeline shorthand for over 18 years and have taught a whole variety of people, from students studying on NCTJ courses at City College Brighton, University of Brighton, University of Portsmouth and University of Sussex, to journalists from local and national press who wanted to update their skill, to secretaries, admins and executive assistants who wanted to enhance their skills as part of their continuous professional development. I have even taught individuals who purely wanted to learn for their own personal interest as it’s such an intriguing skill.

Course programme

There's no denying that shorthand is a traditional skill that's often dismissed as "old hat", but it still remains a core skill in today's world that can enhance, boost and improve your performance and employability. You'll hear people saying "no-one uses shorthand anymore" but they tend to be the people who have never learned shorthand, have never seen it in action and therefore don't know what they're missing - a truly valuable skill for life.
