Who The Course is for
This course is for anyone who is keen to develop their art craft skills using a variety of processes and materials.
Course Content
This course will provide an introduction to some exciting and creative basic craft skills. Areas covered will include working with wood, clay and enamelling. Learners will be able to explore the use of a variety of materials and equipment before producing a portfolio of their own designs.
Entry RequirementsLearning & Assessment Methods
The course is assessed on practical work and the submission of a workbook. The workbook will contain images of pieces made, evidence of research (including health and safety), the development of ideas and an on-going reflection on personal progress.
Qualifications Gained
NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Creative Craft.
Progression Opportunities
Learners may be able to progress onto other part time art courses within the department, or onto full time courses if appropriate.
Career Opportunities
This qualification provides an introduction to craft art skills.

If you are 16-18 years old you do not have to pay course tuition fees*.
