Course programme

Assessment is based purely on coursework, there are 3 parts to the course which demonstrate the sequence of learning 1. Exploring the tools, language and research skills to inform yourself. 2. Application of the tools and methods to solve a 2D, a 3D and a Time based problem within Art and Design practice. 3. Challenge your practice using tool and problem solving skills to Develop a personal Project. Parts 1 & 2 are pass and refer only, which encourages you to be creative and discover what sets creativity apart as a set of skills to acquire for life. The final project determines the qualification achieved and is externally assessed again purely on coursework as Pass, Merit, Distinction. The final Unit is available at Level 3 and 4, it will you, particularly at Level 4, to demonstrate the independent capacity to self initiate, research, analyse, organise, reflect and evaluate commensurate with study in higher education. It holds the same value as 3 A level at grade A*-C .
