Colour, texture, pattern, form. Our department continues to challenge what defines our discipline.

With many different types of materials, applied to different surfaces, placed in different contexts, textiles has its place in fashion, buildings, science and even health and wellbeing.

Our Masters students come from a range of backgrounds, keeping our student body rich and diverse, and our enthusiastic staff have a broad range of experience, inclusive of print, embroidery, knit, weave, upholstery, jewellery and graphic design, with guest lecturers from specialists in industry and successful small businesses.
