Course programme
Transport for London (TfL) has announced that all new and existing private hire drivers must now meet the English Language standard B1 requirement. Thus our aims and objectives is to accommodate the requirement for private hire car licensees in meeting the English language proficiency test regulated under statutory instrument (The Private Hire Vehicles (London PHV Driver’s Licences) (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations 2016) and undertaken by Trinity examination centre London.
Taking all the above into account and recognizing that many drivers do not have the expected level of a B1 standard of English, CBC has designed an English proficiency (written, reading, speaking and listening) learning based programme with added support that will enable and accommodate flexibility of learning to all private car hire licensee. Each programme delivered is personally tailored to meet the learning needs of the individual learner. Please note Programmes are classed based only. All student/ leaners undertake a computerised or paper based exercise to test levels of English proficiency.
