This course is approved by Skills for Care and regulated by Ofqual and meets the CQC requirements for anyone who wants to, or is currently working in the following roles:
• Adult Care Worker
• Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker
• Personal Assistant
The qualification develops competence therefore learners must be in paid or voluntary work to enable assessment to take place. This qualification will equip you with all the mandatory knowledge required and the skills to be a competent care or support worker within the community as a domiciliary Health Care Assistant. Long gone are the days where anyone could work within the care sector without any qualification. Because of various safeguarding issues and to make sure that individuals receive a better quality of care, CQC now requires all workers within the care sector to have a minimum of Level 2 in care or be working towards the qualification. You will need to achieve a minimum of 46 credits to obtain this qualification.
