Course Description:
This level 3 unregulated qualification accredited by
NCFE national awarding body will give participants the
knowledge and experience to competently train others
in safe people handling, this award which is highly
interactive and engaging will give participants the
confidence to deliver and train others in the workplace
to ensure safe handling practices that promotes the
principles of safe effective and dignified care.
Course Outline:
The award comprises of 3 mandatory units:
• Unit 1 – Understand the principles of people
handling in the care setting
• Unit 2 – Application of safe people handling
techniques including the use of equipment
• Unit 3 – Deliver a people handling session
Course Duration:
The course is delivered over 3 days and will include
pre-course study before attending the taught
sessions
Assessment:
To achieve this award participants must successfully
pass a theory and practical assessment
Certification:
On successful completion participants will receive
the level 3 award accredited by NCFE valid for a
period of 3 years
