Course description Deepen your knowledge of the travel and tourism industry with this Level 2 Diploma, and continue to build up a strong set of skills that will help you achieve employment in a diverse range of jobs in the sector, or advance onto a Level 3 Diploma. You'll explore a wide range of subjects on this course, with many revolving around customer service and how you can work with guests to ensure they have an amazing travel experience. You'll delve into the UK Travel and Tourism Industry and learn all about a variety of visitor attractions in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Continuing your focus on the wider industry, you'll look more closely at how airports operate, as well as how and why airlines offer different kinds of promotion. You'll also begin to explore package travel, learning how tour operators build and sell different kinds of package holidays. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method Assessment for this course takes place throughout the whole year, and will include tasks like practical demonstrations, controlled assignments, written coursework, role plays and presentations of research. You will also need to take part in work experience and extra-curricular activities like volunteering. This may be at weekends or in the evening.
