Course Content
Throughout the course you will develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life. You will cover a variety of modules such as:
- The UK Travel and Tourism Industry.
- Exploring Customer Service in Travel and Tourism.
- European Holiday Destinations.
- Exploring Marketing in Travel and Tourism.
- Developing Employability Skills for Travel and Tourism.
You will also be given the opportunity to gain additional qualifications such as:
- Air Cabin Crew Course.
- NCFE Certificate in Resort Representative.
- Holiday Spanish.
- Tourism Key Skill -Communication, IT.
Entry RequirementsLearning & Assessment Methods
A combination of internal and external assessed assignments are conducted throughout the duration of the course.
Qualifications Gained
Edexcel BTEC First Diploma in Travel and Tourism.
Progression Opportunities
If you achieve an overall merit you will be able to progress onto the BTEC Level 3 National Award in Travel and Tourism.
Career Opportunities
Junior or trainee in the Travel and Tourism industry e.g. travel agent, airport check in, overseas rep, working in a visitor attraction.
