This qualification is for individuals who would like to become course tutors and assessors, pursuing a career in the Active Leisure Sector and/or the Further Education (FE, post 16 sector). This course is a combination of two of our qualifications which gives you a great saving! It is comprised of our Level 3 Award in Education & Training and our Level 4 Award in Assessing Vocational Achievements.

How to plan, teach and evaluate effective learning sessions
The principles of education, training and assessment
How to use a variety of teaching methods and learning resources to accommodate different learning needs and learning styles
(Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocational Achievement):
How to plan, prepare and conduct an assessment for vocational qualifications
Complete assessment paperwork
The stages of the assessment process
Assessment skills, strategies and methods
How to make valid, reliable assessment decisions and meet national requirements
The quality assurance procedures and practices
This course is aimed at those working in the Fitness Industry who would like to teach and assess Fitness Courses. It is also suitable for programme managers, studio coordinators, experienced fitness instructors and any one who would like to help raise the standards in the fitness industry.
Candidates will need to have industry experience and hold a nationally recognised qualification in the subject area that they wish to teach, aged 18 or over
At the end of this course you will have achieved:
Active IQ Level 3 Award in Education and Training
Active IQ Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement
20 REPs points
Your assessments for these two couses will be a mixture of formats, including:

Micro- Teach, you will need to teach a session of your choice on the last day of the tutor course
