Equipment required There is a studio fee for the year of £150 which is payable at the start of the course. 5. Assessment method Although much of the practical work will be carried out during the college day, this may include non-timetabled sessions when you are working unsupervised in student production teams. We encourage students to make films in their free time too. Finally, you will need to supplement the practical with private study to supplement the planning and theory elements. You get out what you put in!The courses are practical and vocational in character with many workshops and production assessments. There is also a requirement to produce researched written work and presentations regularly. Film production work is also assessed against technical units such as editing and motion graphics production.The Extended Diploma is achieved by working towards a total of nineteen units, some delivered intensively over a single term and others gradually across the two years.The final qualification will be a BTEC Level 3 90 Credit/Extended Diploma in TV and Film.
