Course programme

To Work with our Highly Accomplished Tutors to Produce the cream of Britains New Presenters. We will work with you on the finer details of camera rapport, personality development, vocal expression, image exploration, PTC/script writing and overall fine tuning of your performance. And teach you the key areas that as a TV Presenter you will need to know.

Course Outline

Autocue. This is where the words a Presenter has to say appear on the camera they are looking into and these are read as if they were talking naturally in conversation with a person standing next to you.

Scriptwriting. Including writing your own links.

PTC- Pieces to Camera. The Presenter stands and recites a piece without notes or autocue. This would normally be used for outside broadcasts and should ideally have a clear Start and Stop 'link', for example "Here at Britian's largest shopping Mall you will almost find every thing from Fashion to home accessories ...This is Joe Bloggs reporting for...?"

Studio Interviews. The important technique in interviewing is not just asking the right question, but listening for the answers and responding appropriately. These Interview's are filmed in front of camera.

Vox Pops. Interviews with members of the public who are stopped and asked for instant opinions. Normally the Presenter will mingle in with people and asks the same question to a number of different people to get their views on certain subjects and the camera films their responses.

Shooting. Recording of the above technique with a professional cameraman.

Course includes a professionally edited showreel an invaluable tool for your career.

On completion of course students will be awarded the HCS "TV Presenter Masterclass"Diploma
