The course is based on the belief that the relationship between the carer and the person is a central instrument for a successful therapeutic outcome.

• A brief history of service provision for people with learning disability
• Understand the effects of people's views and attitudes on the lives of the people who have a learning disability
• Theory to practice within a developmental approach as part of a person-centred support
• Opportunity to assess and discuss case histories
