This course is targeted at those who have aspirations of a career within the Uniformed Services sector or are aiming for higher education. The course is a specialist work-related programme of study that covers the key knowledge and practical skills required in the industry. You are given the opportunity to develop a more comprehensive understanding of the sector, at an advanced level. You will cover topics like human rights, the impact of war, managing major incidents and the legal system. This course is practical and includes many visits, trips and fitness testing throughout.

Entry Requirements

You will need 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including English and maths or a Level 2 Diploma with a Merit grade.

Delivery and Assessment

The course is 100% course work and you will complete practical projects, presentations, reports and a portfolio. Some sections will be completed individually and some in a group to help you develop team working skills.

Progression

On completion of the course you may wish to progress into Higher Education where you could complete an HND in Policing or BSC Honours in Public Services. Alternatively you may like to consider a career within Uniformed Services, such as Police, Emergency Services, Military, RAF or the Army.
