University Advanced Certificate in IT

Course ID:
PC80009

Academy:
Maths, Science & IT

Introduction:
This course builds upon the practical and knowledge based skills obtained in the University Certificate in IT. It allows you to develop your initiative and independence giving you long term learning skills in addition to the specific skills set out in each of the modules. This programme is designed for adults returning to education after a career break, or as a progression route to a foundation or honours degree and is suitable for people who use IT as part of their job. As the programme is franchised from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) you will enrol at both Preston College and UCLan, and have access to both Preston College and UCLan`s facilities, including UCLan`s library and student union.

Study Mode & Location:
Under normal circumstances the course must be completed within 4 years, although we would expect the course to be complete within one academic year. The modules are studied via distance learning, with all study materials available on-line. Tutorial sessions will be held at Preston College`s Fulwood Campus for those wishing to access tutor support.
