Introduction:
This programme is designed for adults returning to education after a career break, as a progression route to a foundation degree, or for those working in the industry and are wishing to gain knowledge about Event Management. The University Certificate is an introduction to Event Management and will provide students with the necessary skills to recognise the importance of event planning. Students will also examine the scale and scope of the events sector and be able to identify the key characteristics of events in order to understand the business of events management as a service activity. As the programme is franchised from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) you will enrol at both Preston College and UCLan, and have access to both Preston College and UCLan`s facilities, including UCLan`s library and student union.

Study Mode & Location:
One module studied part time and should be completed within an acdemic year or less.

Course Content:
You will study one module, covering the following topics:

Assessment:
The certificate will be assessed by one written assignment and one presentation.
