Introduction:
This course is suitable for students who are looking to enhance their knowledge of the tools and techniques required for more effective management by applying a systematic approach to managing projects and would be appropriate for all current and future managers, supervisors and team leaders. Project management is an essential tool for effective management.

The programme is validated and awarded by the University of Central Lancashire. Students enrol at Preston College and are also enrolled at the University and have access to its facilities.

Study Mode & Location:
This one-module programme is studied one evening per week for one semester (15 weeks). It will be held at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent's Road, Preston PR2 8UR.

Course Content:
The programme covers the following areas of project management: the nature of project management; project organisation; project scope; project time; project cost and project quality.Incorporating the tools and techniques required in setting up a project.

Assessment:
Assessment is via a combination of coursework: written assignments and a presentation.
