It is much more strict and one has not as many liberties as in the Austrian system. I felt that there where a lot of guidelines and that students aren't trusted to be able to work, think and come up with good ideas independently.

Organise financial issues beforehand and expect London to be far more expensive than your home country.It is very expensive to study in London, and the Erasmus Scholarship doesn't even cover half of it. If you do not have extra money to spend there.

I would advise to apply early and make sure to look at funding opportunities early on as studying in London is an expensive endeavour. UCL is a truly international institution and the intellectual curiosity and open-mindedness of the student body is second to none.
