Course Content
The course will provide a mix of Theory and Practical training and Assessment to enable successful candidates to be awarded a certificate from our awarding body.
This award will demonstrate competency in the work as defined within the relevant Building Regulations, that state that All domestic Unvented hot water systems over 15 litres capacity are maintained by a qualified person. A qualified person is someone that holds a current and recognised Unvented Hot Water certificate.
Course Overview
The course will consist of the following:
- The evolution of Unvented systems.
- The differences between Unvented hot water systems and other types.
- The current legal requirements for installing Unvented hot water systems. G3.
- Types of systems and controls.
- Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance procedures.
Examination & Assessment
Assessment for the course is based on the satisfactory completion of a practical assessment and an open book multiple choice theory test.
Certification
Successful candidates will be awarded a recognised certificate from Logic Certification and could join the CORGI Unvented hot water competent persons scheme.
